In case of any conflict between these terms and other provisions, the terms here take precedence.

Information on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
We may collect and use information from you if you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA). In this section of the privacy policy, we will explain exactly how and why this data is collected, and how we keep this data protected from duplication or misuse.
What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU-wide privacy and data protection law that governs how companies protect the data of EU residents and enhances the control EU residents have over their personal data.
GDPR applies to any company operating globally, not just those based in or serving EU residents. The data of our customers is important regardless of their location, which is why we have implemented GDPR controls as a standard practice for all of our operations worldwide.
What is personal data?
Personal data is any information related to an identified or identifiable person. GDPR covers a wide range of information that can be used alone or combined with other information to identify a person. Personal data includes more than just a name or email address. Some examples include financial information, political opinions, genetic data, biometric data, IP addresses, physical addresses, sexual orientation, and race.
Data Protection Principles
These principles include requirements such as:
- Personal data must be processed fairly, lawfully, and transparently and should only be used in ways that individuals would expect.
- Personal data should only be collected for specific purposes and must be used only for those purposes. Organizations should specify the purpose for collecting personal data at the time of collection.
- Personal data should only be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.
- Individuals covered by GDPR have the right to access their personal data. They can also request copies of their data, update it, delete it, restrict its processing, or transfer it to another organization.
Why is GDPR Important?
GDPR adds new requirements regarding how companies protect the personal data they collect and handle. It also raises the level of compliance through stricter enforcement and larger fines for violations. In addition to these facts, it is simply the right thing to do. At Link-me, we strongly believe that your data privacy is important, and we have already implemented strong security and privacy practices that exceed the requirements of this regulation.
Rights of Individuals to Access, Transfer, and Delete Data
We are committed to helping our customers meet the rights of data subjects under GDPR.
Link-me processes or stores all personal data through approved vendors who comply with DPA regulations.
We retain all conversations and personal data for up to 6 years unless your account is deleted. In such cases, we destroy all data according to our terms of service and privacy policy, but we do not retain it for more than 60 days.
We understand that if you are working with customers from the EU, you must be able to provide them with the ability to access, update, retrieve, and delete their data. We are here for you! We have set up a self-service model from the start and have always provided you access to your data and your clients’ data.
Our customer support team is here to answer any questions you may have regarding the use of our API.
